This past week, Poker Bunny pulled off what most grinders only dream about: winning both daily feature tournaments in the same day and cashing in on the elusive Daily Double Bonus. Poker Bunny shared fascinating insight into how she approached the day. The first tourney began slightly earlier, and as she made the final table, the second was still down to two full tables.
“I was playing really tight in the second tourney while still fighting for the first win. Making both FTs for 1k was more than the first-place prize in the second one.”
Once she locked up her first victory, everything changed.
“I had to play totally chip EV in the second one… 25k dominates every other possible score in this tourney.”
The pressure ramped up in the final moments. At one point, she was down to just 1.9 big blinds, but with calm resolve and a deep heads-up skill set, she clawed her way back.
“The second heads-up lasted a really long time. It was hard not to feel the pressure of playing literally a 25k heads-up match… but I was confident I had a big edge, and that helped me block out the pressure and just play my best.”
Mindset Matters
Poker Bunny credits her performance not just to strategy, but to mental discipline. Even after making mistakes during the first final table, she kept her composure.
“The worst possible thing I could have done was wasting mental energy being hard on myself for messing up. Focus on playing the next hand as well as you can. Save the self-criticism for the review.”
